Rival n°462
MANUFRANCE
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 10,75x68
Nice and rarely seen African Rival mod.462, made during the fifties by Manufrance, Saint-Etienne on an FN Mauser 98' Mod.50 first type action.
The 27½” special contoured long barrel bears the traditional Rival sights, the five leaves parade rear sight and a transverse caterpillar front sight on long sculptured ramp, and it is chambered for the 10,75x68 Mauser cartridge.
All metallic parts retain their fine original rust blue.
The 13½" LOP reddish straight grained walnut odd shaped stock, with its period ventilated pad, has a rounded grip and an elongated forend ended by a black horn schnabel that covers three quarters of the barrel.
That 7lbs 15oz rifle is in perfect state and retains almost all its original finish.
