A truly exceptional Original Mauser rifle made at Oberndorf circa 1940 and proofed 1941.
The double flat top action has the rare left solid wall and is fitted with a rear extension to guide the long extractor travel.
The system uses a German double hair trigger and the floor plate swing open.
The 24" ribbed semi octagonal barrel is chambered for the potent 7x64 Brenneke.
The rifle is factory engraved and the nice French walnut with 14" L.O.P on the monogrammed Mauser butt plate, has an original engraved cartridges trap fitted under the rear.
The integrated claw mount bases were used, without any modification, to fit a perfect Zeiss « Diatal » Z 4x32-R.4 scope who compliment the rifle clean lines.
Net weight 8¼lbs and 9?lbs with scope.
Perfect in every respect.
