Caliber : .318 Westley-Richard
Built before WW I on a standard Mauser 98 action by Westley-Richards & C°, under the control of Leslie B. Taylor, that "Plains Game" rifle is chambered for the famous and potent .318 Westley-Richards cartridge.
The 26" long barrel is fitted with a five, silver lined, leaves express rear sight and a caterpillar gold face front sight on a stylish block.
The round grip stock of reddish French walnut, with vacant silver oval and English swivel eyes, displays a 14¾" LOP on the classic blued steel buttplate.
That rifle was refinished in England at the end of the nineties and weights 7lbs-13oz.
