Manufactured by STIGA A.B-VERKEN TRANÅS in Sweden this "Buffalo" model rifle is a commercial version of the Swedish 96' Mauser rifle based on the "small ring" long action.

The conversion has been superbly performed and the quality of the rifle is above all suspicion as its operation and accuracy are perfect.

This "Buffalo" model bears the very rare LYMAN mod.48 receiver sight modified in arsenal for the Swedish version.

The 24'' Bofort steel barrel sports a front bead specially adapted to the peep sight whereas the rear sight dovetail is protected by a finely checked insert.

The receiver, the barrel and all the fittings are rust blued while the bolt body with lowered handle and the extractor blade are left polished in the white.

The magazine accepts five cartridges in staggered column and the bolt operation remains very smooth.

The single stage trigger is regulated for a perfect let-off.

The uncheckered 14¼'' LOP classic stock without cheekpiece but with schnabel forend is made of very good, perfectly finished, European walnut.

This rifle is in almost new condition, retaining all of the original untouched finish and the workmanship, although discreet, is outstanding.

This rifle, chambered for the versatile 30-06 cartridge weighs 7lb 12oz.
