Coeur Tyrode Aiglon combination gun for Berntheisel
BERNTHEISEL COEUR TYRODE
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 9,3x74R - 16/70mm/2¾''
Extremely rare side-by-side shot and ball combination gun manufactured in the thirties by Aimé Coeur Tyrode for Berntheisel in Strasbourg.
The double rifle type action uses the famous 1913 patented Aiglon bolting system and the 24'' barrels are by Auguste Francotte.
The right barrel is chambered for the 9,3x74R while the smooth left is 16/2¾''GA choked 8/10°.
If the ornamentation is restrained, the execution quality is absolutely exceptional.
Tight-grained French walnut as been used for the straight 15'' LOP stock while the splinter forend with Purdey latch bears a gold crown.
The traditional safety gave way to a transverse Greener one and the ejectors system remains of H&H pattern.
The barrels bear an elegant express rib with stylishly pointed final as on the front sight.
This lightweight 6lb 13oz combination gun is in its original state, used and well cared, and it retains the majority of the slow rust bluing finish applied at the time of its manufacture, circa 1930.
This is a unique gun, in perfect condition with blameless function.
