De Luxe Plains Game
DORLEAC & DORLEAC
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 9,3x62
We made that 9,3x62 rifle, on a 98'Mauser DWM 1908 action in 2001.
It was built following our "De Luxe Plains Game" pattern.
The Lothar Walther 26" barrel bears an express type three gold lined leaves rear sight regulated on a combined gold and moon sight front bead. The sights bases, as well as the front swivel support, are of the band type, soldered to the barrel.
A Schmidt & Bender 1¼-4x20 R.4A scope is fitted on a low quick detachable H&H pattern mounts, specifically built for that rifle.
The Oberndorf fashioned bolting lever is made to ease the handling of the rifle on running game. Its single stage trigger is tuned to 2.lbs and the safety is of the three positions W.70 style with gold incrusted "SAFE" & "FIRE" indications. The bolt stop was modified with an elongated rear lever to ease the dismounting of the bolt when the scope is fitted and the magazine floorplate is a deeper hand made one to permit a five shots capacity.
The classic stock is made from a highly figured piece of burr walnut; with a 14½" LOP on a leather covered soft butt pad.
The whole gun is treated with Royal engraving on an old patinated color case hardening and bright blue finish.
The rifle has benefited from a full service and is presented in a near new condition, with flawless functioning and granted accuracy.
Net weight 8lbs. & 9lbs-9oz scoped.
