Very rare mod.1924 "High Velocity" 30-06 GVT rifle, manufactured circa 1926.

The rifle retains all the features that made the charm and reputation of the original mod.1903 and even if the spool magazine and bolt stop are specific, all other elements remain identical to the versions made before WWI.

The 24" barrel bears the traditional M-S sights and the 14" LOP stock is made of beautiful French walnut, perfectly checkered.

The stock retains its original curved steel trapped butt plate.

That Schönauer is fitted with a classic S & B 1.5-6X42 R4 scope mounted on a perfectly executed claw mount whose front base is welded to the barrel.

This rifle, chambered for the excellent 30-06 GVT weighs 6.lbs 14oz. and 8.lbs 6oz.scoped.

Its superb condition indicates that it was formerly the subject of a no expense spared restoration to the highest level, certainly when mounting the scope.

The model 1924 HV has been produced in small quantities.
It was chambered for "modern" calibers like the 7x57, 7x64, 8x60S and 30-06.
