WAFFENFABRIK BERN
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : 7,5×55 - .22lr - .175/4,40mm
Exceptional set consisting of a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K31 carabiner, its .22lr caliber Lienhard conversion and a rare Hämmerli "Trainer" spring/air conversion.
This K31 has been produced at Waffenfabrik Bern circa 1945, it is equipped with a 25½" Hämmerli barrel and a beautiful European walnut stock.
The Schmidt-Rubin rectilinear motion system, modified by Furrer and Fierz on the K31, is considered to be the most accurate of all military repeating systems, and combined with the excellence of the Hämmerli barrel (.2965) and the extreme regularity of the GP11 cartridge it delivers a precision worthy of a match weapon.
This rifle, all the parts of which bear the same number, is in near new condition, retaining almost all of the arsenal finishes with 100% of the original rust blue and a walnut stock without marks or dents.
The service sling and muzzle cover are present.
The .22 rimfire conversion [Präzisions Kleinkaliber Einsatz] by Lienhard Waffen in Kriens is complete, it consists of the full length sub caliber tube, caliber .22lr [four grooves and 12½" twist] and of the specific rimfire bolt with its loading gate.
As the K31 rifle the whole is in perfect condition.
The Hämmerli "Trainer" User Manual spring air conversion replaces the complete bolt and resumes the shape of its operating lever.
A provision for five .175/4.40mm caliber round balls allows repeated firing, each movement of the lever ensuring air pre-compression.
The system being planned for training at five meters, a specially graduated rear sight is provided with the kit. On this rifle it benefits of the add of a micrometric Furter Olten system sight blade.
Due to the intrinsic quality of this original K31 rifle, its accessories, the rarity of the two conversions and the superb state of conservation of the different elements, this is an exceptional and rarely encountered set on the market.
