KKJ Stutzen Rimfire
WALTHER
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .22lr
Nice stutzen (stocked to the muzzle) sample of the famous "Klein Kaliber Jagd" rifle made by WALTHER in the sixties.
The 20" barrel is assembled to the Match action and the five cartridges detachable clip is locked at the front of the trigger guard.
The typical Walther cross safety is controlled by a push button behind the bolt handle while the traditional German double set trigger can be adjusted by a screw between the two triggers.
The 14½" LOP stock, with two parts forend, is made of good French walnut.
A period Nickel Supra 4x36 L81 E/S R1 26mm steel tube scope is fixed on the receiver 11mm rail via a very nice one-piece Anschütz steel mount machined by the other Ülm Waffenfabrik.
Like the majority of these Walther rimfire rifles imported by Humbert in Saint-Etienne, this stutzen bears the option of a barrel threaded for sound moderator.
The weapon is in perfect state of conservation and shoots with great accuracy, it's delivered with an additional five shots clip.
Scoped, the whole assembly weighs 7 lbs. 8oz. while the rifle alone displays 6 lbs. 10oz. on the scale.
