Caliber : .300 Winch. Magnum
A very rare sample of a vintage pre-64 Mod.70 "Westerner-Alaskan Rifle", made in 1963 and chambered for the then new .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge.
That rifle bears a perfect bore 24” chrome molybdenum steel barrel fitted with Lyman mod.16 folding rear sight and Lyman mod.31 bead under sliding protector on n°7 ramp.
The action sports a period Redfield 70W with knurled knobs and ¼' clicks.
The 14” LOP stock, with light Monte-Carlo comb, is made from very nice American walnut and retains its flawless original checkering, while the buttplate is a correct period 1" Pachmayr "White Line".
The mate finished action and all metallic parts are finished in perfect bluing, with crisp late type barrel markings.
The rifle is in near new condition, without modifications to its originality.
Chambered for one of the best modern cartridges, and associating the best features of the proven Mauser 98 controlled feeding system to the smoothness and balance of a modern rifle, that Winchester is the perfect "classic" choice for world wide hunting.
With five shots capacity it weights 7lb-15oz and it bears our entire guarantee.
