M.A.P.I.Z ZANARDINI in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy, have made this "African Oxford Dangerous Game" double rifle ejector on special order for a Spanish sportsman.

This express is chambered for the powerful .500 Jeffery Rimless (12,7x70mm Schuler) and uses a strong WEBLEY type forged steel action with reinforced fences and Purdey triple bolting.

The first trigger is articulated and the safety remains manual while the ejectors are of the hammer type following the H&H pattern.

The 25'' barrels sport a pointed express rib with a three gold lined leaves wide V rear sight regulated on a contrasting front bead set on matched support.

The 13 5/8'' LOP stock, made from a beautiful figured walnut blank, sports an oval beaded cheekpiece and is completed by a traditional English red rubber soft pad whereas the forend is a stylish semi beavertail one.

The wood side-plate "tears" are inlaid in ivory and the grip ends with an engraved steel trapped cap.

The nice English scrolls engraving is signed GUERINI and is highlighted by the patinated French gray finish.

The net weight of this double express goes to 10lb 10oz, a mass justified by the cartridge, the .500 Jeffery being the most powerful ½ incher cartridge with 7,720 ft.lb for the 535 grains bullet!
