WINCHESTER
Rifles
Category : C
Caliber : .38-55
Made in 1911 in New Haven, this Winchester mod.1894 half magazine rifle is chambered for the .38-55 cartridge.
The 26'' barrel is perfect for this excellent cartridge created in 1876 by Marlin for Ballard and reputed to be accurate up to 330 yards.
Although originally designed as a target round, the .38-55, with bullet weighting between 200 gr and 330 gr, is ideal for hunting whitetail deer and black bear.
The 13'' LOP stock is made of American black walnut and sports the traditional crescent steel buttplate.
That rifle retains its original antiquated finish, with a few areas of shaded patina, but remains in perfect condition for use.
This Winchester rifle weighs 7lb and its functioning is flawless for such a centenary rifle.
