A few years ago we have built this .270W rifle following the classic lines of the great English stalking rifles of the golden age on a rare mod. 1908 Mauser action manufactured in Oberndorf.

The slim Lothar-Walther 24" barrel bears a three leaves gold lined express rear sight and an interchangeable bead front sight with fold away protector.

The bolt has been modified with lowered Oberndorf styled handle and side swing two positions safety while the single stage trigger was constructed on a modified ERA mechanism with a specially machined and color case hardened curved trigger.

A Swarovski 3-9x36 AV-4A light scope is fitted on hand made Holland & Holland type side claw mounts, with their bases finely engraved and bone and charcoal color case hardened.

A very hard, nicely figured and reddish colored, well-seasoned piece of old Tessier French walnut has been used for the English shaped classic stock. A silver oval glows on the underside and an engraved color case hardened trapped grip cap, enclosing a replacement front sight, finishes the elongated grip.

The wood, perfectly filled, has received an oil satin finish.

The 14½" LOP stock ends on a 7/8" leather covered soft butt pad.

The markings are hand engraved and all main metal parts, action and barrel, are DWM rust blued, while some finely engraved pieces remain hardened in color the traditional bone and charcoal way.

This very accurate best quality rifle has benefited from a full overhaul in our workshop and is offered in perfect condition with the benefit of our full guarantee.

Net weight 7lbs 13oz and 8lbs 14oz scoped.
