Very unique sidelock & ejector over under double rifle manufactured by Ludwig BOROVNIK in Ferlach and proofed in March 1993.

The 24½" chopper lump barrels, chambered for 9,3x74R cartridge, are made of Böhler "Super Blitz" special steel and their convergence, regulated at 60 meters for the 286 gr bullet, is absolutely perfect.

The Kersteen triple bolting forged steel action bears two H&H rear spring pattern sidelocks, with intercepting safety, controlled by a double trigger, the first one fitted with optional push forward set system.

Indeed the ejectors are of similar H&H pattern, the two hammers lying in the forend.

The gorgeous Obiltschnig engraving combines chiseling for the allegorical hunting scenes and chased large ornamental foliage on traditional small scroll tapestry. The execution is remarkable, each vignette being illuminated with a gold inlay: the cross between Saint-Hubert's deer antlers and the crescent diadem of Diana Huntress.

With exception of the blued barrels all the metal parts are treated in coin finish while all inner parts are meticulously glass polished.

The 14½'' LOP stock is made of an exceptional walnut burr with straight comb and traditional Bavarian triple beaded cheekpiece while the forend, made of the same blank, is of the three parts pattern.

A Zeiss "Diavari" ZM 1.5-6×42T* R4 scope is fitted to the barrel rib with a low claw mount, perfectly executed and engraved in the same ornamentation.

This sumptuous double rifle weighs 7lb.4oz and 8lb.9oz with its scope on.
