An extremely rare and elegant "half hinge pin" over under gun built by A. CORDY & Son, at Liege, Belgium.

The 2,4" tall rounded action uses a half hinge pin, concave shaped and closely fitted to the under barrel profile, a system developed and patented by CORDY in conjunction with a strong Kersten type double upper bolting.

The rear springs side locks are of H&H pattern and the first trigger is articulated.

SMEET, H.M the King of Belgium engraver, has done a very nice classic job adapting a variation of the classic "Royale" treatment, perfectly matched to the clean lines of the gun and highlighted by a French grey finish.

The 28½" chopper lump barrels, made from CAP compound steel, are signed FALLA, the mythical Belgian barrel maker; bored .728" – and so stamped and proofed – they bear an inside mirror finish and are chocked improved cylinder and modified.

Under the Purdey latch three parts forend, the ejectors are of H&H type.

The 15" LOP straight stock is made from high quality quiet French walnut and retains a smooth dull oil finish with flawless checkering.

That perfectly balanced game gun weights 6lbs 12oz and has been beautifully overhauled in Belgium, returning to its original well-preserved condition.

Delivered with in a full leather case.
