Very fine sample of O/U double rifle build by Merkel in Suhl, on the traditional Kersten-Greener forged action with blitz type battery and front hair trigger.

The coin-finished action is engraved in the old-fashioned manner with acanthus scrolls around hunting scenes.

The 26", low temperature assembled, chopper lump barrels are chambered for the 9,3×74R cartridge. They bear a low quarter rib sporting a wide V gold lined rear sight regulated on a silver bead caterpillar front sight.

An as new, wide field, Schmidt & Bender 1,25-4x20 R.4 scope is fitted on superlative hand made claw mounts with engraved bases.

The 14¼" LOP stock is made from a nicely figured French walnut blank while the forend is of the three pieces field type.

The rifle is in perfect condition, it works and shoots flawlessly and bears our full guarantee.
