We built this .338WM on a modified Winchester 70 pre-64 magnum action fitted with a 26" Lothar Walther barrel originally produced for Dakota Rifle C°.

The receiver supports a rare Griffin & Howe 1932 quick detachable side mount whose base has been specially machined before its integration into the left side.

This remarkable mount is windage adjustable and its one-piece rings surround the steel tube of an Hensoldt Wetzlar Dyalitan 4x scope with special n°2 and dot reticle.

The iron sights are composed of a Lyman 48 WJS and an interchangeable front bead under sliding protector.

Finally, a combined single stage hair trigger allows a perfect let off.

The stock, fitted with leather covered slim curved butt pad, is made of well-seasoned French walnut, without ostentatious figures, but of superb quality.

All parts have a deep black finish with the exception of the matt satin-finished receiver and bolt handle.

 

On request, in exchange or for additional fee, we can provide a full steel original GRIFFIN & HOWE side mount with Ø 30mm rings for mounting any modern scope with compatible dimensions.
